In the first of our new series of ‘Classic Drives,’ I was lucky enough to drive a beautifully-restored Aston Martin DB6. I’ve always been a fan of the DB6 and – Bond connection aside – never understood why it’s sat in the shadow of its older brother for so long. Regardless of personal taste in the styling of the rear quarter, the DB6 is a much more sorted car with more space, a higher roofline and greater suitability as a grand tourer.
In the video below you can see the car in action and get a sense of why it’s been a firm favourite of mine for so long! Our thanks go to Aston Workshop – our go-to experts for Aston Martin restorations.
