A unique wingless 2016 Porsche 911 GT3 RS with 1,500 miles, originally owned by comedian and legendary Porsche collector Jerry Seinfeld, went under the hammer at Bonhams’ Supercars on Sunset sale in Los Angeles in April.
Optioned with more than $250,000 in extras and Special Wishes pushing its retail price close to $450,000, it comfortably exceeded its $290,000 – 330,000 pre-sale estimate, changing hands for $356,400.

The eagerly anticipated Amelia Island sales finally got underway in May after being postponed from their regular March slot due to COVID. Pre-war machinery made the headlines, RM raising $5,725,000 for a 1929 Duesenberg Model J with one-off coachwork (estimate $3,500,000 – 4,000,000) and Bonhams’ 1934 Mercedes-Benz 500K/540K Spezial Roadster bringing $4,900,000 (estimate $4,500,000 – 5,000,000). Ferraris sold well, helping RM towards an impressive 95% sell-through rate and a $42 million sale total.
