JBR Capital, the UK’s leading independent high-end vehicle financier, has named the latest top 10 cars that premiership footballers purchase on finance.
Range Rovers have charted as the most popular vehicles once again, although the current trend is that footballers are now spending more on the top of the range SVR – as opposed to the previously most frequently purchased Range Rover Evoque.

Large SUVs still dominate the list as footballers primarily choose to go for comfort and practicality from their cars. However, they still have their supercar itches scratched with the likes of the Ferrari 488 Spider, Lamborghini Huracan Spyder and Bentley Continental GT.
JBR Capital’s data shows that the top 10 cars financed by footballers are as follows:

- Mercedes-Benz G-Class
- Audi RS 6 Avant
- Ferrari 488 Spider
- Lamborghini Huracan Spyder
- Range Rover Autobiography
- Maserati GranCabrio

Most of the deals on these vehicles, arranged for high-profile footballing personalities, come from the North West, West Midlands and the East of England. They are typically finance packages with a shorter term, the preference among this customer base being two to three years, rather than the more usually requested four to five years term.
In 2018, JBR Capital financed double the number of luxury vehicles for sports professionals compared to the previous year, as teammates have spread the word about the London-based company’s bespoke services and how financing cars keeps cash available for other purchases.
